In this week’s interview, we have the pleasure of introducing you to Srijanita Maurya, Founder and CEO of The Animal Patronage.
Srijanita has been working for animals in her local area with her mother for the past eight years. It has always been her dream to start her own organisation to spread awareness for animals in the whole world. In 2021, she started her organisation The Animal Patronage for animal welfare and to protect them from being extinct.

Let’s start with the timeless 60 seconds ‘elevator pitch’, what’s yours?
I’m Srijanita Maurya, founder and CEO of The Animal Patronage. The Animal Patronage is a youth-led organisation that works for animal welfare. The Organisation focuses on becoming the voice of the animals to fight for their rights and protect them from human cruelties and becoming extinct.
At one point or another, it is inevitable that challenges will pop up in business. What’s your approach to overcoming challenges?
I overcome problems with proper planning. Before executing any work I always discuss it with my teammates and after getting everyone’s approval I execute it.
Sales and marketing are two very important, but different, functions within a business. What is your number one sales tip?
For increasing the marketing I usually collaborate with other organisations. Whenever a new post is out we ask them to reshare it so that more people can engage with us. We try to make attractive posts to increase engagement.
What is your favourite business tool or system?
My business tool are Instagram and Canva.
It is important to celebrate your achievements, particularly during the difficult times. How do you celebrate your achievements?
I celebrate my achievements with my teammates, friends, and family. My mother and sister are my big supporters.
Being in business is like an education in itself, what are the three most important lessons you’ve learned in your business?
Lesson 1: A business can’t run on one’s discussion.
Lesson 2: To increase engagement we should first analyze the market.
Lesson 3: Attractive advertisement is key to marketing.
What business-related book or podcast has inspired you the most?
The E Myth and The Shark Tank.

My dream client would be other animal lovers and advocate like Gauri Maulekhi and Jane Goodall
