Let’s start with the timeless 60 seconds ‘elevator pitch’, what’s yours?
Dream Catchers helps you to move a step closer to your dreams if you are a performing artist and helps you with a stage to shine on. We do niche events for women and have helped many women realize their dream of becoming a model, an Entrepreneur, and help them build self-confidence. For businesses, we are a perfect platform to advertise as we partner with TV channels and provide a huge outreach through our social media handles to reach out to their perfect target audience.
At one point or another, it is inevitable that challenges will pop up in business. What’s your approach to overcoming challenges?
I have overcome challenges in my business by reinventing my business model according to the requirement of the market. A calm mind and the ability to remain focused on one’s goal helps overcome any challenges, add trust in the Almighty and it becomes a flawless combination.
Sales and marketing are two very important, but different, functions within a business. What is your number one sales tip?
Yes, it’s true, sales and marketing are two very different and important aspects of any business. My number 1 sales tip is to keep the interest of the person/company I am dealing with at the forefront, it has always worked well for me.
What is your favourite business tool or system?
Social media specially Facebook is my favorite tool, learning to be Instagram savvy too 🙂
It is important to celebrate your achievements, particularly during the difficult times. How do you celebrate your achievements?
I celebrate my achievements with my family who is always by my side cheering and supporting me and my friends too. I always say “Dream Catchers is a big big family where you can check in anytime you want but you can never leave”. We have people who have moved out of Singapore to various parts of the world but are still very much in touch and always cheering us on. Our success is celebrated by so many people, I feel Blessed
Being in business is like an education in itself, what are the three most important lessons you’ve learned in your business?
Lesson 1: Always be willing to adapt and change, don’t be married to your initial business idea for too long if it’s not working.
Lesson 2: Find out the gap in the market and then address that. We do niche events, think out of the box and that’s helped us a lot.
Lesson 3: Always be a student of life and keep learning from every project, collaboration, and partnership. Help people along the way but never get used.
What business-related book or podcast has inspired you the most?
I listen to anyone and everyone who inspires me, I have the tendency to learn from everyone I come in contact with. Having said that, I do listen to the Industry leaders, successful Entrepreneurs and Spiritual leaders too.
The purpose of such an interview is to promote your business. Please tell us, who is your dream client?
I want people to know that Dream Catchers provides a platform for Performing Artists, Entrepreneurs, and Businesses and so everyone who wants to join us is welcome to get in touch with us and become a part of our big family. We have been in existence for 11 years now.
