Interested in Networking with Other Business Women?

The Women Business Owners Asia (WBOA) Networking Circle is a monthly, online networking meeting for women who want to do business across Asia. It has been started by two friends, who are based in Hong Kong and want to expand their reach.

The purpose of the meeting is to help members expand their business into other countries regionally, by connecting with like-minded business women. This is achieved by supporting each other’s goals, being there when there are challenges, and introducing members to potential business opportunities.

The meetings are held on the last Tuesday of the month, starting at 7:00pm (Hong Kong time) and  finishing around 8:30pm. As a member, there are no hard or fast rules, instead we have guidelines.

  • Membership is a commitment of 12 months and the membership fee is $1,200 HKD per annum.
  • Meeting attendance isn’t mandatory, however we’d love to see you attend as many meetings as possible. To maximize your membership, we would recommend you attend 70% of the meetings.
  • Guests are welcome to attend one meeting per year, and if they’d like to attend more, we ask that they become a member.

Please note: the networking circle is a not-for-profit initiative, and the membership fee will be used for admin, marketing, and member experiences e.g. in-person get togethers, group educational webinars etc.

Meeting Structure

  • Welcome and Purpose
  • Member / Visitor Introduction (30 seconds per member / 10 seconds per guest)
  • Member Presentation (2 members per meeting for 8 minutes each)
  • Accountability Breakout Rooms (sharing of next month’s goal and what support is needed)
  • Collaborations, Referrals and Thank You’s (share how you’ve benefited from the membership)
  • Celebrate Your Successes (share an achievement so we can celebrate your success)
  • End Meeting

Please note, the meeting structure may change based on the feedback of the members.

Women Business Owners Asia is a passion project to showcase the women, living in Asia, who have taken the plunge and started their own business.

Women can achieve so much more when we support each other. Whether you're a one-woman show, in a partnership, or have a team supporting you, your story might be the story that inspires another to start their own business, or navigate the challenges.

This site was born during a time where travel is limited, face-to-face networking is discouraged, and connecting online is the 'new normal'. We hope these interviews encourage you to keep moving forward, innovate, and grow your business.
